Then there is the matter of Déjà vu, the phenomenon of having the strong sensation that an event or experience currently being experienced has been experienced in the past, whether it has actually happened or not. On many occasions I have a similar mind trick which is referred to as Presque vu, or "almost seen". It is so like Déjà vu that many people confuse the two. In the case of Presque vu I find that a series of events will unfold and usually in my case, the coming ending is usually dire. What I do to break the sequence is to tell Donna that this has started to happen and then what will happen next, in an attempt to head off the awful consequence. It doesn't always work and is more perilous if I am on my own for example.
Yes, the mind is full of little tricks and the like but wouldn't it be dreadful if we all thought the same way without any anomalies? Where would we be creatively if every book was written the same as the last one with no new twist or every painting was in the same style? No, we need these mind anomalies to evolve and if that means that some of us are more mentally unstable than others then so be it. You have a great weekend ahead of you - I have already seen it happening.
Now, you can see what is likely to happen here, can't you? Vehicle towing fails and wins!
